Kurzer Lebenslauf
Kristin Mühldorfer arbeitet als Wildtierbakteriologin am Leibniz-Institut für Zoo- und Wildtierforschung (IZW). Sie hat ihr Studium an der Veterinärmedizin der Freien Universität Berlin abgeschlossen und promovierte 2012 im Fach Veterinärmedizin über Krankheiten und Infektionserreger von Fledermäusen. 2013 wechselte sie zum Institut für Geflügelkrankheiten an der Freien Universität Berlin, wo sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin für die Labore der Bakteriologie und Serologie verantwortlich war, angeschlossene Doktoranden betreut und Lehrveranstaltungen durchgeführt hat. Seit Dez 2014 ist sie wieder am IZW und leitet die Bakteriologie. Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen im Bereich der Wildtierkrankheiten mit dem Schwerpunkt auf neuartigen bakteriellen Infektionserregern und der Entwicklung einer zuverlässigen Krankheitsdiagnostik für Wildtiere. In 2020 wurde sie vom European Board of Veterinary Specialisation als Diplomate des European College of Veterinary Microbiology anerkannt.
