Computed tomography

The Leibniz-IZW operates a high-performance computed tomograph and offers services in the field of (wild) animal computed tomography. With a 640-line volume scan mode and a resolution of <0.25 mm, the CT enables real-time imaging of dynamic processes or the flooding and flooding of contrast medium in defined organ systems and is the most powerful CT in veterinary medicine worldwide. The device can also be used to analyse the mineral composition of tissues such as bones. The services offered include the examination of valuable stocks from archives and museum materials, the determination of the state of reproduction and the supervision of a patient service unit by a veterinarian and a radiological-technical assistant.
