By plane

Berlin Airport is "Flughafen Berlin-Brandenburg International" (BER). There is a train station in Terminal 1+2 with connections into the city. There are regional trains (Airport Express) and local trains (S-Bahn) that can take you to either subway station "Friedrichsfelde" or tram stop "Am Tierpark/Alfred-Kowalke-Str." with one change of lines. Usually the fastest connection from BER airport to the IZW is taking the "S-Bahn" (line number 9) to "Schöneweide" station (7 stops) and change to tram service M17 (headed to "Falkenberg") until you reach "Am Tierpark/Alfred-Kowalke-Str." (12 stops).
