Wildlife Research and Conservation

The international conference „Wildlife Research and Conservation (WRC)” is the successor of the „International Conference on Behaviour, Physiology and Genetics of Wildlife". The first new edition of this conference (WRC 2019) was organised by the Leibniz-IZW together with the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) and WWF Germany.

The conference deals with evolutionary adaptations from the perspective of behavioural ecology, reproduction biology, genetics, physiology, as well as nature conservation. It increasingly addresses pressing issues of wildlife research and species conservation in the context of global environmental change.
