The ombudsperson is the contact for all scientifically working employees of the IZW in questions and problems related to good scientific practice and potential violations thereof.

The ombudsperson offers biannual upgrade training courses (in German and/ or English) in good scientific practice for all departments. The ombudsperson also introduces each new scientifically working member of the IZW to the IZW guidelines of good scientific practice.

The Guideline of the Leibniz-Association on how to safeguard good scientific practice and how to deal with allegations regarding scientific misconduct can be found here (in German).

The existing Guideline of the Forschungsverbund Berlin (also in German) is currently being adjusted to the new guideline of the Leibniz-Association.

Ombudsperson and the deputy ombudsperson are being elected for a period of three years, reelection is possible.
