Usually the fastest connection from BER airport to the IZW is taking the "S-Bahn" (line number 9) to "Schöneweide" station (7 stops) and change to tram service M17 (headed to "Falkenberg") until you reach "Am Tierpark/Alfred-Kowalke-Str." (12 stops).
