Scientific collections
The Leibniz-IZW maintains five scientific collections of international importance that represent an indispensable resource for comparative studies and support the diverse services offered by the institute as a reference centre for wildlife biology and veterinary medicine. The collections are constantly extended and developed and are open for use by cooperation partners and members of the scientific community.
The collections include a pathological-anatomical reference collection of wildlife (PARS), a morphological collection, the DNA tissue bank “ARCHE”, as well as archives of ultrasound and computed tomography image data sets and videos, mainly of reproductive organs and tissues.
