Short curriculum vitae

Jan Zwilling studied geography, political science and geoinformatics in Berlin. After an internship in the press office of the Leibniz-IZW in 2008, he worked in press agencies and press offices during his studies. From 2012 to 2018, he headed the press office of the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS). At the Leibniz-IZW, he has been responsible for press and public relations as well as visual and social media as an editor for science communication since 2018. Together with the colleagues in the press office, he is responsible for press relations, the institute's multimedia and social media activities as well as the strategy and concepts for science communication. He is also actively involved in a number of the Institute's projects and carries out strategic communications work for these projects.
