Lectures & Courses
Leibniz-IZW scientists are active in teaching in and around Berlin (at the Freie Universität Berlin, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Technical University Berlin and the University of Potsdam) as well as at many other universities in Germany and abroad. In addition, we regularly offer summer schools for graduate students worldwide.
The Leibniz-IZW offers lectures, seminars and practical courses at the Dahlem Research School and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Freie Universität Berlin, at the Faculties of Life Sciences of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, at the Institute of Ecology at the Technical University Berlin and the Institute of Biochemistry and Biology of the University of Potsdam. In addition, IZW scientists recently contributed and currently contribute to teaching activities at the Veterinary University in Vienna, the University of Hildesheim, the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim (until 2018), the Technische Universität Dresden (until 2017) and the veterinary faculty of the University of Sydney. From 2013 to 2019, IZW taught a total of 396 semester hours (Semesterwochenstunden, SWS), equivalent to 28.3 hours per week per term.
