Short curriculum vitae

Karin Müller is a staff scientist in the department Reproduction Biology since 2007. She is interested in the reproduction biology of male gametes as well as in their cryopreservation. In particular, the physiological role of sperm lipids and seminal fluid during sperm transit and fertilization are in focus.
Research interests
  • Characterization of spermatogenesis and sperm function
  • (Cryo)preservation of sperm
  • Analysis of sperm lipid composition and organization of sperm membranes
  • Interactions between sperm, seminal fluid and female genital tract
  • Fluorescence microscopy
